Jose Lerma
Jose Lerma was born in Seville Spain in 1971, he grew up in San Juan, Puerto Rico, and currently resides in Brooklyn, New York. He studied political science at Tulane University before going to the University of Wisconsin to pursue a law degree, it was at the University of Wisconsin that Lerma discovered his passion for visual art. Lerma studied at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago before earning his MA and MFA from the University of Wisconsin in 2002. Lerma's work has been internationally recognized at solo gallery exhibitions most recently at Andrea Rosen Gallery in New York, Xavier Hufkens in Brussels, Galleria Il Capricorno in Venice, and Rhona Hoffman, Chicago.
