Louise Faurer
Louise Faurer, born in 1916, began as a freelance graphic artist in Philadelphia. He bought his first camera in 1937, and soon after launched his career as a fashion and editorial photographer, however it is his personal work done in the city for which he is remembered. He photographed the streets of New York and Philadelphia after World War II. His black and white images present the energy of urban life.
